Hello everyone! 

This week was good, just long. Easter was good. Everyone here eats bun and cheese for Easter. We ate oxtail. This week I made akee and bacon. I gave a talk in sacrament on the atonement. I bought some black velvet overalls and a weed sweatshirt. No mail. I should get it on Saturday. The General Young Men's president is coming to talk to the missionaries on Saturday. I don't know if I will get transferred, I might finish in Linstead.
We have been trying to see all of the people that we found this week, but can't see them. Last night we when over to this older lady's, recent converts, house to watch a movie with her about temples. She fell asleep and almost feel off her chair. It was so funny. This week was good.

The Lord is Blessing Us - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,
This week was good. We have been trying to find investigators. This week we found 8 really cool people. The Lord is blessing us. Nothing too exciting happened this week. One of my old investigators got baptized on Sunday, so that was cool. There are 15 districts. 5 zones. around 80 missionaries. 40 areas. For Easter, Jamaicans eat bun and chees and don't work and they party. We went to Spain Town earlier, and I got some new shoes. The other ones were falling apart. These ones should last longer.

Scary Experience - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,

This week was good. Conference was great. I learned a lot. It doesn't rain too much. Brother Muschette is cool. No new investigators, just weird people. But we are not giving up. We are going to work with the part member families. There are game shops here where people can come and play video games. A lot of people watch the Flash. There are colleges here, but idk how they work. On Sunday there are usually about 120 people there at the end of sacrament meeting. We usually just leave our bikes in the church. My bag is still swaggin. haha I got the package with Elly's tie. I am going to keep the shoes you sent nice for Sayre's mission. Priesthood session was awesome! I want to tell everyone of an adventure we had last night. Our house is far away. and the other missionaries got taken out of the area closer to town. So, we decided to go and sleep over at their house. It was a pretty normal night. I had a weird dream about ghosts. Then the power went out. My mind immediately linked the power outage with ghosts. I just thought I was freaking my self out so i tried to go back to sleep. I kept hearing noises of things moving. Then like 2 min later my comp says. "Lets dedicate the house". I didn't even know he was awake. It is like 3 o'clock at his point. He said he had heard breathing, and we were both feeling uneasy. We said the prayer over the house. Then we sat there for a little while. we both had the idea to go back to our house. So we did. As soon as we got in our house, it felt better. It was a crazy experience. Just another adventure in Jamaica.

It Was A Really Long Week - Linstead, Jamaica

This week was good, just really long. We have been finding a lot lately. We have found a couple of people. They are interested and want to change their life. I signed my name on the desk. That is zombie dog. Murmer is the dog on my lap. We also dressed a goat up. haha That was fun. This week was good.

Lots of Good Things Happening Here - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,

This week was pretty good. We went on three trade offs this week. Elder Poe snorted orange juice. haha. He drank it, and it came out of his nose. haha It was really funny. I am glad to stay in Linstead, lots of good things happening here. We got stuff for pizza. We are going to make it today. So, that will be fun. We are also taking over part of the other elders area. So, that is cool. Still finding new investigators. 

People wear pretty much the same thing here as there. The girls are more immodest, but pretty much the same. No mail this week. 

There are big houses and small houses. Some of them are made from like sheets of tin or zync. Others are built out of cinder blocks. There are also a lot of unfinished houses, because people only build when they have money to build. You can just go in the bush and build a house wherever you want, and you dont have to buy the land. I'll probably miss the food the most. There are a lot of family yards. So, there will be one big yard and lots of little houses and a ton of people.

Hello everyone!

This week was pretty fun. One of the days this week we went on the road, and then we saw this little kid that had a bloody foot. He had cut it on something and was trying to walk to his house with his friends. He couldn't walk good, so we took turns carrying him home. Today we went to Spain Town and played football and watched a movie called the best two years. So, that was fun. There is a funny Rastaman that lives in our area. He always calls us his bonafide generals. haha We think he is Master Chief because his name is John. (nerds will know why). So it has been fun. Linstead is awesome. I think I will stay I might get a new comp, but we are not sure. Yes, I still use the transformer bag. We are working on getting new investigators. My comp is good. I just want to do all the good I can in the next 6 months. 

10 things I have learned about living with someone new: 

1 Be humble

2 Sometimes I just have to get over myself if someone is weird

3 Laughter is good 

4 Don't let someone change who you are; unless it is for the better

I cant think of anything else, but humility is big!!

So, Ya That Happened - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,

This week was good. We helped an old lady paint. After we left, she fell off a barrel that she was standing on. She called us and was in the hospital, but i think she is ok. So, ya that happened. I got a new set of scriptures. We have been playing Pokemon with the card that you sent. So that is fun. No investigators for us came this week. We are just trying to find new ones.

The 4 biggest churches here are Apostalic churches, Seventh Day Adventist, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Rastas. Rastas don't even know what they believe. They just smoke tons of weed. In a couple of the big towns there are movie theatres, but mostly just bootleg movies sold on the side of the road. 

They listen to music called dance hall. They remix American music and add air horn and car sirens in the songs.
Church is pretty much the same just not as many people, and there are always arguments in Elder's quorum. There are churches called Pokomania churches, and they do stuff like the lady does in Pirates of the Caribbean. They call it black magic. obia. 

No mail this week. I am good. Don't send too many more packages. I've only got 6 months left. Hopefully i will get mail this week.
