There Are Answers to Prayers Everyday - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone, 

It's me again. This week was good it rained everyday. So that sucked. Whenever it rains, nobody wants to see us. We are still trying to find new investigators. We caught the dog in our yard! Victory. haha We get fed sometimes by ward members. For breakfast people eat akee, boiled green banana, or yam and dumpling. We live with the bishop. The house is old, but it's pretty nice. We ride everywhere. Our area is huge. We ride long distances sometimes. My bike could fall apart soon. I'm not sure, its like a ticking time bomb. My shoes are good. I have never knocked on a door. You either yell inside or talk to people on the road. People sing in English just with different tunes and notes. We usually email in the church. there are answers to prayers everyday, just little things.

Black Velvet Overalls - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone! 

This week was good, just long. Easter was good. Everyone here eats bun and cheese for Easter. We ate oxtail. This week I made akee and bacon. I gave a talk in sacrament on the atonement. I bought some black velvet overalls and a weed sweatshirt. No mail. I should get it on Saturday. The General Young Men's president is coming to talk to the missionaries on Saturday. I don't know if I will get transferred, I might finish in Linstead.
We have been trying to see all of the people that we found this week, but can't see them. Last night we when over to this older lady's, recent converts, house to watch a movie with her about temples. She fell asleep and almost feel off her chair. It was so funny. This week was good.

The Lord is Blessing Us - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,
This week was good. We have been trying to find investigators. This week we found 8 really cool people. The Lord is blessing us. Nothing too exciting happened this week. One of my old investigators got baptized on Sunday, so that was cool. There are 15 districts. 5 zones. around 80 missionaries. 40 areas. For Easter, Jamaicans eat bun and chees and don't work and they party. We went to Spain Town earlier, and I got some new shoes. The other ones were falling apart. These ones should last longer.

Scary Experience - Linstead, Jamaica

Hello everyone,

This week was good. Conference was great. I learned a lot. It doesn't rain too much. Brother Muschette is cool. No new investigators, just weird people. But we are not giving up. We are going to work with the part member families. There are game shops here where people can come and play video games. A lot of people watch the Flash. There are colleges here, but idk how they work. On Sunday there are usually about 120 people there at the end of sacrament meeting. We usually just leave our bikes in the church. My bag is still swaggin. haha I got the package with Elly's tie. I am going to keep the shoes you sent nice for Sayre's mission. Priesthood session was awesome! I want to tell everyone of an adventure we had last night. Our house is far away. and the other missionaries got taken out of the area closer to town. So, we decided to go and sleep over at their house. It was a pretty normal night. I had a weird dream about ghosts. Then the power went out. My mind immediately linked the power outage with ghosts. I just thought I was freaking my self out so i tried to go back to sleep. I kept hearing noises of things moving. Then like 2 min later my comp says. "Lets dedicate the house". I didn't even know he was awake. It is like 3 o'clock at his point. He said he had heard breathing, and we were both feeling uneasy. We said the prayer over the house. Then we sat there for a little while. we both had the idea to go back to our house. So we did. As soon as we got in our house, it felt better. It was a crazy experience. Just another adventure in Jamaica.
