Transfers are Tough! - Portmore, Jamaica

Hello everyone.
Transfers are coming up, and usually people stay in the same place for 4.5 to 6 months. I've been in Portmore for 3 months. I thought I was going to stay, but I am getting sent to Spanish Town. I don't know how I feel about it, but there is nothing I can do about it. I love Portmore. The members are the best, but it will be a new adventure. In the mission they call your second companion your mother. I am going to be my comps mom. haha. Oh man, missionary jokes. All the clothes are holding up good. We just put two people on date for baptism this week so hopefully they get baptized. We had Tominuzed day last week, it was pretty fun. I ate half a pizza. I thought I was going to die. haha We found the hardest puzzle we could and put it together. That was pretty fun.
I love you all,
Elder Davis

I didn't get Jenn's package yet.

Head Wound and Goats! - Portmore, Jamaica

Yo wut is up everyone!
This week was pretty good. We have been finding a lot. Yesterday we were tracting, and everyone was giving us mangos. So, that was pretty awesome. I made mango juice. Today we are going to do what we call Taminuseday. Dominoes has buy one get one free pizza, and we are going to play monopoly. Dj and Akkeem are doing good. I think their mom and dad are having marriage trouble. So, keep them in your prayers. Here they take labor day way serious. Everyone was outside working on something. So that was cool. We found a pretty cool guy yesterday. We are going to start teaching him. Hopefully all goes well. Bro Watson ,another investigator, should be getting baptized sometime next month. So, that is exciting. That is all for this week.
I love you all,
Elder Davis

I lost my exercise shoes so i bought a new pair.

I cut my head open last monday. It wasn't bad it was mostly sore. So I put cold bag juice on it haha

We Ate Cow Feet! - Portmore, Jamaica

Hello everyone!
It's me again. This week was good. It went by fast. We were fed cow foot this week. It is really weird. It is just skin bones and fat. when the people weren't looking, i gave what i didn't eat to the dog haha. It actually didn't taste to bad, but the texture was just horrible. I am going to find a herd of goats this week and get a picture of them.I bought the seat this week. It is so nice. I almost ran over another dog, but it got away. We have found a lot of really cool people this week. So, we will be working with them. I am excited for that. That is all for this week.
I love you all,
Elder Davis

8 Month Anniversary - Portmore, Jamaica

Hello everyone!
It is crazy that I've been out for 8 months. This week was a blur. Skyping was definitely my highlight. We caught a crab last night, but both of our cameras died. So, that sucked! I have batteries now, so I am good. I haven't hit any dogs this week. We got stranded in Kingston today, then some missionaries picked us up. haha. We couldn't figure out how to get back. I don't really have much to say. I only got some pictures of this spider. My camera died. I'll take a ton of pictures this week.
I love you all,
Elder Davis

Mother Day Skype - 8 months

The members are great! He is happy! His clothes and shoes are holding up. He is buying a big seat for his bike. The members feed them every Sunday. The area has a lot more neighborhoods than Negril. He has been cooking BBQ chicken all week. He found some boneless chicken to cook. He was so excited. He was at DJ and Akeem's house. He loves the people. He asked a lot about movies and video games. A man on the street threatened to baptize him and his companion. Haha His bike is running well. He had the zika virus last week. :( He is feeling better now. The rasta guys always yell at them "White Man". He said they just yell back "Black man". haha His bike is running good. The best thing in Jamaica is the bag juice. You tear them open and drink out of a bag. He said it tastes like thawed otter pops. He loves them. They have huge bugs there. The centipedes are gigantic and they are poisonous. The banana spiders can get the size of both of your hands. They aren't poisonous though. He said he never feels scared, he only feels uncomfortable sometimes. Like he needs to get out of a certain situation. He misses restaurants and wants a big, greasy hamburger. They only have roadside food huts. So, there are no restaurants. They take the big yellow bus (yellow shark) to Kingston and through their area. It is only one bill (or $1.00) American money. They call their money bills. The kids' school uniforms look like they are in the military. They showed us one. The elders are not allowed to wear sunglasses. The people think they are CIA, if they wear them. So, you need a medical excuse to wear sunglasses. His companion is from Bountiful, Elder Knight. When he comes back he isn't getting married right away. He wants to catch up on movies, video games, hang out with his family for awhile. Tyler asked him if he wanted to go on a trip when he gets back for Sayre's graduation. He just wants to go back to Jamaica. Looks like we might be spending Christmas or Thanksgiving 2017 in the Caribbean. :) He has been out for 8 months today! He misses everyone, but is being blessed. He was definitely meant to be called to Jamaica.

Capture the Flag/ Ants - Portmore, Jamaica

Hello everyone,
This week flew by. The highlight was definitely today. We had a dual zone pday. We went to an old fort and played capture the flag. My team won every time, of course. haha But it was way fun. I haven't hit any dogs this week, but I did find some of the biggest rottweilers in the world. All of the signs said it was mean, but i pet it and it was super nice. haha We do something called the Book of Mormon test with those kind of dogs. We show them the Book of Mormon instead of our hands at first. We do this so we can see if they are mean. Dwayne is doing really good he is telling everyone about the Priesthood. He is a new investigator that we found last week. Over all a good week.
I love you all,
Elder Davis

Ya, i got the package with the go pro. I got one from Kimberly, too. The ants got into both of them, but i did get my go pro.

The ants ate the Pringles, so I'm going to buy some. We are going to skype at DJ and Akeem's house. They have an Xbox one.

There isn't any memory on the go pro. Ya, all the missionaries thought the jeep safari shirt  was hilarious. I am going to buy a chip for it, and I don't have any mounts for it.
